All activities related to human subjects research will be guided by the ethical principles in the Belmont Report as well as all applicable U.S. and St. Kitts-Nevis Federal laws and regulations.
The University of Medicine and Health Sciences IRB supports human subjects research with no or minimal harm, good consent processes, no deception or debriefed deception, confidentiality or anonymity and the use of fairly chosen participants who can refuse to participate if they choose to. Our aim is to minimize the risks of physical or psychological injury to human subjects and provide maximum protection for the rights and welfare of subjects.
